To create this edit, I filmed a building with the sky in the background covering a larger area of the horizon. Then, I downloaded a clip of a night sky, and used this to replace the sky. I used "color tolerance" to set key-frames near the beginning and end of the night section, and set the very start and end of the clip to "0', leaving the tolerance in the middle as it was. This creates a slight transition from the day-to-night and night-to-day.
