Although originally rehearsal footage, as filming was going well, it is now the actual footage that I am going to use in the film.
I am happy with the elements of mise-en-scene, as lighting, costume, hair & make-up, etc... were kept naturalistic to portray realism, and where possible I left the camera running to capture as many moments as I could (direct cinema/'cinema verité', Pennebaker) - although I did occasionally have to angle the camera so that he could react to archive footage ('creative treatment of actuality', Grierson). Although there were moments where it felt staged, most of the footage is him just having a conversation as it came to mind.
